My Newest Baby!

Okay, I hope you're looking at the picture of the puppy, and not me!! Last weekend, I drove with 3 of the girls to Kewaskum, WI (near Milwaukee) to visit my sister in law and pick up my new Mastiff puppy. This picture was taken upon arrival home, after being stranded for 2 days in a blizzard in southern WI. It was a harrowing experience, if you can't tell from my appearance above!! Anyway, this is JJ. She is a 12 week AKC English Mastiff, and she is the next phase of my dog breeding program here on the farm. Her name, JJ, stands for Jehovah Jireh, "My God who provides." My business is committed to Him, and I wanted a name for her that reflects that. If anyone knows of someone who breeds Mastiffs, please let me know! I am keeping my eyes open, as I'd like to get a male within the next year or so. JJ is so much easier than my small dogs! She's very mellow and is catching on very well to housebreaking. She weighs 25 lb right now, and will reach a weight somewhere between 150-200 lb. Last week, my sweet little Papillon, Piddles, broke her leg beyond repair and had to be put down. JJ is helping to fill that void.
