New Chicks

Hmm. Apparently we didn't have enough "chicks" at our house. . . :o) We now have 27 more. These babies arrived today, and they are sooo cute! It amazes me that just 3 days ago, these lil' gals were all tucked up inside eggshells. God's creation is so unfathomable. It's equally amazing that by late fall they will be mature hens, laying eggs of their own. The chicks are getting plenty of attention here, being held and handled as much as I will allow them to be. The black ones are Black Sex Links (sex-link means you can tell the gender by the color of the chick at hatching) and the buff ones are Production Reds.
