I hate the dentist. . .

When I woke up this morning, I had a nice day in mind. We'd pick up the house, do school, then meet with my friend Sandy, who was coming to visit. That is SO not how the day went! I've had a tooth bothering me for several months, and it was getting much worse last week. I called on Friday and left a message that I'd like to be seen. You know, generally when you try to get in on short notice anywhere you end up waiting at least several days, if not a week or more. Lucky (!) for me, the dental office returned my call at 8 a.m. "Can you come in at 11 this morning?" "Uh. . . sure. . ." So, since my back has also been messed up, I figured I'd kill two birds and head to the chiropractor while I was in town. Living 24 miles from town, it's necessary to combine trips as much as possible! Wouldn't you know, I called the chiro at 8:10, and the appt. she had available was 9 a.m. I kicked it into high gear, showered, yelled at the kids a bit, threw clothes on the baby and was out the door in 30 minutes, which was 10 minutes later than I should have left. "This is just not the laid back day I had in mind. . ." I got my back adjusted, put gas in the car, did a little grocery shopping, and had a root canal, all before noon. Man. I'd rather have given birth.
